Infrastructure
Toilets, shade, power, sound - you can help make it happen.
No event can occur without some infrastructure and we’ll need your help to get these projects up and running in time for 6 July. If you have expertise you can lend to any of these projects, or would like to help decorate communal infrastructure, please contact the
volunteers co-ordinator.
Infrastructure projects include:
- First Camp – this is the operational space for the set-up crew. It consists of shade, a kitchen, catering and toilet facilities and is the first project to be constructed.
- Central Shade – this is where you’ll chill out in the day and party at night. It takes a co-ordinated effort to get such a large structure up and decorated, so get involved.
- Toilets – the toilets in 2005 were the most beautiful, and the cleanest outdoor loos imaginable. While it sounds like a dirty job, helping to get the toilets built, decorated and ready for use is a pretty rewarding task and no, you won’t have to deal with sewage.
- Power Grid – this is needed to run lights, sound system and art requirements.
- P.A. – Music and a central announcement system are integral to helping build and entertain the community at Nowhere.
